HILLSBORO, NH – David E. McGrady, 53, formerly of Westfield died Thursday May 30, 2013 at the Veterans Medical Center in Manchester, NH. David was born April 2, 1960 to the late James and Margaret (Sullivan) McGrady.
He spent his entire adult life confined to a wheelchair after an accident at advanced training for the military and spent the last five years at the Robin Hill Farm in Hillsboro, NH, a retreat for head injured adults.
Dave leaves his uncle, William Sullivan of E. Longmeadow and his cousin, Michael Sullivan of Southampton and many other cousins. The family would like to convey their gratitude to Dave’s caregivers at the Veterans Medical Center, Catholic Memorial Hospital and the entire staff at Robin Hill Farm. The care for Dave was nothing short of exemplary.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at St Peter and St Casimir Church, 24 State Street, Westfield and burial to follow with Military honors at St Mary’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home, 1043 Westfield Street, West Springfield.
