NORTHAMPTON – Tanner Koziol scattered four hits over 3 2-3 innings, struck out six batters, walked two, allowed two earned runs, and had a hit, RBI, and 2 runs scored at the plate to lead Westfield South past host Northampton 11-2 in a 10-11-Year-Old All-Stars District II tournament game Saturday.
Westfield’s David Tirrell helped key a 6-run third inning with a two-run double to go along with 3 RBIs and a run scored. Tirrell provided a third an inning of relief. He struck out one.
Matt Pelletier (double, run, RBI) and Colin Scanlon (hit, run) also delivered offensively for Westfield, which returns home Wednesday against Agawam at Cross Street Field, beginning at 6 p.m.
