WESTFIELD – Joseph F Pescitelli, 89, former longtime resident of East Mountain Road, Westfield, died Saturday, June 29, 2013 in Noble Hospital. Born in New York, New York to the late Francesco and Rosa (Diglio) Piscitelli.
Joseph was a retired Tool and Die Machinist for the former Stanhome Products, Easthampton. He was a WWII veteran serving with the U.S. Navy in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater. Joseph was a communicant of Our Lady of Blessed Sacrament Church, Westfield.
His wife Teresa (Molinari) died in 2002. He leaves two sons, Francis “Butch” and his wife Paula of Montgomery, and Joseph F. Jr. of Westfield; and a daughter, Juanita Sorel of East Longmeadow; 7 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. He will be sadly missed.
His funeral and visitation will be Wednesday, 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the Robert E Cusack Funeral Home, 94 Main Street (Route 20) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial will follow in St Mary’s Cemetery, all in Westfield.
