12:05 a.m.: officer wanted, Bush Street, a caller reports someone threw a beer can at his vehicle from a described car, the responding officer reports the vehicle was not damaged and a search of the area did not yield a suspect;
2:42 a.m.: suspicious persons, Whitney Playground, Shepard Street, a patrol officer reports he observed a vehicle at the playground and investigated to find two persons stargazing, the visitors were advised of the pertinent city ordinance closing the playground at dusk and they left the area;
9:47 a.m.: suspicious phone call, a superior officer reports he was advised by an elected official that a person who said that he was an unhappy constituent had called and said in a way that could be interpreted as threatening that he would come to the official’s home, the call was documented in case it becomes relevant by further actions;
Noon: assist motorists, North Elm Street, a Chicopee officer requests assistance escorting a group of motorcycle operators engaged in a charity ride, the responding officer reports the group was escorted to the city line;
12:38 p.m.: larceny, Phillip Avenue, a caller reports his vehicle may have been entered and property may have been stolen, the responding officer reports his wallet was stolen which contained a prescription;
3:01 p.m.: Ponders Hollow Road, a caller reports that he observed a group of youths who appeared to be extinguishing a fire on a bridge in the area, the responding officer reports he found the warm remains of a small fire on the bridge which the persons present denied responsibility for;
4:00 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, East Main Street, a patrol officer reports a traffic stop for an equipment violation, the vehicle was stopped and the operator’s license was found to be suspended, Juan A. Marrero, 57, of 19 Saab Court, Springfield, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and for a motor vehicle brakes violation;
4:12 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Southampton Road, a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the vehicle’s registration was found to be expired, the vehicle was towed to the police impound yard;
5:26 p.m.: suspicious activity, Cranston Street, a caller reports hearing gun shots, the responding officer reports he encountered a resident who had been detonating fireworks but said that they had expended their supply;
9:11 p.m.: animal complaint, Honey Pot Road, a caller reports finding a female dog, possible a Bernese mountain dog, the responding animal control officer reports he transported the dog to the municipal animal shelter;
9:11 p.m.: suspicious person, Whitney Playground, Shepard Street, a patrol officer reports he observed a vehicle at the playground and investigated to find a female party lying on the roof of the vehicle stargazing, the woman was advised of the pertinent city ordinance closing the playground at dusk and she left the area;
11:57 p.m.: disturbance, Russell Road, a state police dispatcher relayed a complaint of a domestic disturbance, the responding officer reports a female party said that the male party choked her and crushed her phone, the officer reports he observed marks of minor injuries and saw a broken phone on the floor, William Rojas, 25, of 1210 Russell Road, was arrested for assault and battery in a domestic relationship and for intimidating a witness;

11:05 a.m.: found property, Union Street, a caller reports finding about 10 hypodermic needles in a Union Street parking lot, the responding officer reports the needles were transported to the hospital for proper disposal;
3:34 p.m.: officer wanted a resident came to the station to report she was threatened by a known person, the responding officer reports the woman said that she had been in her vehicle when she heard someone scream an insult at her and recognized a man with whom she has had ongoing issues, the woman said that the man’s mother then put her clenched fist in the open window of her car and waved it in her face while telling her not to call police about her son, the woman was advised to seek an harassment order at Westfield District Court;
4:32 p.m.: investigation, East Main Street, the community policing supervisor reports that he and a detective visited a store where the management had been warned about selling marijuana paraphernalia and found that the store is now in compliance with the law;
4:19 p.m.: larceny, East Main Street, a resident came to the station to complaint that store credit he had accumulated has been stolen, the responding officer reports the complainant explained that he had been putting money on deposit towards the purchase of a video game system and was recently told that a person who claimed to be his mother had gone to the store and had withdrawn the funds;
5:27 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Little River Road, a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the vehicle’s registration was found to be expired;
5:31 p.m.: arrest, Court Street, a caller advised the location of the subject of an outstanding warrant, the responding officer reports the warrant was confirmed and the suspect was found at the reported location, Michelle L. Wilga, 29, of 348 Southampton Road, was arrested on the warrant;
5:35 p.m.: larceny, North Elm Street, a clerk from a North Elm Street convenience store reports an apparently intoxicated male party broke a case of an energy drink, the respond officer reports the store manager said that the suspect stole four bottle of the energy supplement and left the store, a search of the area did not yield a suspect and the manager said that no formal report was necessary;
6:03 p.m.: larceny, Fowler Street, caller reports his bicycle was stolen form his porch, the responding officer report the man said that the bicycle had been locked but he believes he may have left the lanyard with the attached key on the porch;
8:24 p.m.: larceny, Otis Street, a caller reports his flag and pole were stolen, the responding officer reports the complainant said that the pole and flag were stolen from his property in the past few days;
8:27 p.m.: lost property, Forest Park, Springfield, a city resident came to the station to report his handgun was lost, the responding officer reports the man said that he habitually carries a 9 mm handgun in a holster on the small of his back and realized that it had fallen out after a visit to the park, the man said that Springfield police advised him to report the loss in Westfield;
8:46 p.m.: burning complaint, Franklin Avenue a caller reports a burning complaint, the responding officer reports the residents were advised to extinguish their fire;
10:04 p.m.: fire, Half Mile Falls Park, North Elm Street, a caller reports a trash can is on fire, the responding fire captain reports a fire smoldering in a trash container was extinguished, seen next entry;
10:32 p.m.: fire, Great River Bridge, a patrol officer reports the contents of another trash container are burning on the north side of the bridge, two youths were seen running from the area, the responding firefighters report the container was fully engulfed upon arrival and was extinguished;
11:44 p.m.: incapacitated person, North Elm Street, a caller from a fast food restaurant reports a customer in the drive-up lane appears to be highly intoxicated and struck another vehicle, the responding officer reports he found the person to be obviously intoxicated and was found to be unlicensed, Patrick M. Donnelly, 28, of 12 Chapman Ave., Easthampton, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor (a second offense), unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and for reckless operation of a motor vehicle, the shift supervisor reports that during the booking process Donnelly passed out and struck his chin, an ambulance was summoned.
