WESTFIELD – The Westfield High School varsity field hockey team is not the only one making noise this season.
On Tuesday, the school’s junior varsity squad picked up their 12th win of the season with a 4-2 win over host Agawam.
Jordan Bower and Olivia Chaoush combined their offensive talents to lead the scoring threat for the Bombers.
Bowers put Westfield on the board at 25:20 when she sent an awesome pass to Brooke Keeney, who drove the ball into the cage.
Agawam answered back at 22:21 with the team’s only goal of the first half. Bower responded with two more goals (8:43, 1:46) from a pair of timely Chaoush assists.
At the start of the second half, Chaoush netted a goal of her own. The unassisted effort came at 23:03.
Agawam scored late.
Westfield goalie Jenna Rothermel collected four saves.
With one game remaining in 2013, the JV team is currently 12-2-1.
