Santa Maria Molta

Molta,Santa_001SOUTHWICK – Santa Maria (Cressotti) Molta, 87, lifelong resident of Southwick, passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 27th at the Governors Center in Westfield. Born in Southwick to the late Antonio and Maria (Gasparini) Cressotti, she was a graduate of Westfield High School.
Santa was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of the Lake Church in Southwick and was devoted to her faith. Santa was employed with Stanley Homes for many years while devoting her time as a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother, friend, homemaker and caregiver.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband, Joseph F. Molta, Sr. in 1998 and three siblings, Theresa Gaioni, and Frank and Charles Cressotti. She is survived by her two grateful sons, Joseph F. Molta, Jr. and his wife Kathleen E. Molta of Southwick and Donald A. Molta of Miami Shores, FL; three grandchildren, Jordan Molta, Anthony Molta and his wife Alyia and Gavin Molta and his fiancée Kellie Scalora; four sisters-in-law, Dorothy R. Molta of Southwick, Jennie Molta and her husband Cesare of Italy, Madeline Molta of Westfield and Dolores Molta of Southwick; and by several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to meet for calling hours on Saturday, November 30th from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Southwick Forastiere Funeral Home, 624 College Highway, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Church, Sheep Pasture Road in Southwick. Burial will be private for the family at a later date in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Westfield.
