3:34 a.m.: breaking and entering, Bates Street, a caller reports she found her vehicle had been broken into, the responding officer reports the caller said that her unlocked car was entered overnight and the stereo was stolen;
7:56 a.m.: breaking and entering, Allen Avenue, a caller reports she found her vehicle had been broken into and property was stolen, the responding officer reports the caller said that her unlocked car was entered overnight and CDs, a GPS device and cash were stolen;
8:10 a.m.: larceny, Demond Avenue, a caller reports his car was stolen overnight, the responding officer reports the caller said that he thinks the car had been locked, see 3:11 a.m. Tuesday entry;
9:50 a.m.: animal complaint, Tina Lane, the manager of animal control operations reports she is en route to take custody of two beagle puppies, the puppies were transported to the municipal animal shelter;
11:07 a.m.: assist other agency, Westfield District Court, officers were dispatched at the request of the court to attempt to arrest the subject of an outstanding warrant issued in 2013, Michael R. Stephens, 41, of 31 Frederick St., was found at his listed address and arrested without incident;
11:34 a.m.: animal complaint, Otis Street, a caller reports her two-year-old daughter was playing outside when she was attacked by an unknown dog, the responding manger of animal control operations reports that the child was scared by the boisterous black Labrador retriever dog but not injured, the loose dog was properly licensed and was transported to the municipal animal shelter pending pickup by its owner;
11:37 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, Morgan Avenue, a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the operator’s license was found to be suspended and the car was towed to the police impound yard;
1:08 p.m.: breaking and entering, Gold Street, a caller said that she used her car and realized that some change was missing and after she returned to her home she found handprints on a window making her believe that someone had attempted to break into her house, the woman said that when a neighbor told her that somebody had been seen in her car overnight she discovered that a GPS device had been stolen in addition to the coin, the case was referred to the Detective Bureau;
1:18 p.m.: assist citizen, North Elm Street, a caller reports a highly intoxicated woman is walking northbound carrying many bags, the responding officer reports the woman was provided a courtesy transport to her North Elm Street home;
3:21 p.m.: larceny, St. Paul Street, a caller reports a political sign is missing from his yard, the caller does not require a formal report but wants his loss documented;
5:38 p.m.: vandalism, Montgomery Road, a patrol officer reports he encountered a mailbox which had been smashed in the roadway, the officer reports that the resident said she had been unaware that the mailbox had been damaged.
