A stitch in time saves nine

WEST SPRINGFIELD – You wouldn’t wait for a tear in your shirt to grow bigger, so why wait to be a part of changing the lives of women in our community?
Join Dress for Success of Western Massachusetts in celebrating empowerment and self-worth characteristics that make a major difference in the lives of women. Dress for Success of Western Massachusetts is hosting “Common Threads”, an event of inspiration for not only women, but everyone looking to create change in the lives of women.
Dress for Success strives for a world where all women are treated with dignity and respect, and encourage women to obtain safer and better futures. They are about more than looking the part. Dress for Success embroiders women with the tools and confidence they will need in order to be successful. They believe every woman, no matter what background or social status, has the right to realize and reach her full potential.
The women that will speak this exact message at “Common Threads” include Lorna S. Simmons, chief probation officer at Hampden Superior Court; Judge Patricia T. Poehler from the Springfield District Court; and Jill Monson-Bishop, chief inspiration officer at Inspired Marketing. In addition, there will be a fashion show with women who have benefited from the services of Dress for Success Western MA.
Please join these women and Dress for Success at the Common Threads event on Tuesday, April 7, at the Carriage House at Storrowtown Tavern, West Springfield. The evening of empowerment will begin with a cocktail hour at 5:30 p.m., followed by a dinner at 6:30 p.m., and the program will begin at 7:15 p.m. These women are going places, and they are going strong – now please join us in supporting them.
