Westfield- Albert Bernard Bonyeau, Jr., 89, died surrounded by family on July 31, 2019. He was born in Westfield on June 25, 1930, to the late Albert B. Sr. and Louise (Nordstrom) Bonyeau. Albert was a veteran and proudly served in the Air National Guard for 10 years. Albert worked with his hands as a machinist at Sterling Radiator, Westfield Coatings, and Stanley Home Products. Albert was a proud man, simple & hardworking throughout his life.
He will be missed by his daughters Carol Bettinger and her husband Wayne of Southwick, Belinda Westcott of Westfield, and Pauline Berry and her husband Robert of Westfield, his son Albert “Alan” Bonyeau, his brothers Daniel and Ronald Bonyeau of Westfield, his sister Eileen Mayhew of Westfield, his 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to his parents,
Albert was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Gloria (Hanscom), his brother Richard Bonyeau, and his 4 sisters Kathryn Tomei, Theresa Bayless, Mary McConnell, and Roberta Bard. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the wonderful Hospice nurses Sharon and Lee, and the caring staff at the Governor’s Center. Family and friends are invited to gather Sunday, August 4, 2019, from 2- 4pm in the Southwick Forastiere Funeral Home, 624 College Highway, Southwick, MA 01077. A funeral service will be held Monday, August 5, 2019, at 10:00 am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Westfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made in Albert’s name may be made to Baystate Health Foundation, 280 Chestnut Street, 6th Floor, Springfield, MA 01199.
