Alexander A. Chrzanowski

WESTFIELD – Alexander A. Chrzanowski, 96, of Westfield died Thursday, November 1, 2012 in a local nursing home. He was born in Westfield on June 15, 1916 of the late Stanly and Julia (Piutrowski) Chrzanowski.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Church in Westfield. Alec was employed as a molder at local foundries until his retirement from Arrow Alloys. He then continued to work for several more years selling vegetables at his brother Kayo’s farm stand on Shaker Road in Westfield. He was an avid candlepin bowler and sportsman who enjoyed nothing more than spending the day fishing for trout on local streams.
Alec is predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Mary (Cichowski) Chrzanowski. He leaves his children, Peter Chrzanowski and his wife Lisa of Westfield and Carol Kinneman and her husband James of Oak Ridge NC. He also leaves his devoted sister-in-law, Doris Lesniewski of Westfield; his grandchildren, David and his wife Courtney of Corvallis OR and Diana of Natick MA and two great grandsons, Jesse David and Leon Alexander.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. from Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10.:00 a.m in Holy Trinity Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. A Calling hour will precede the service from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
