HUNTINGTON: Alice F. Richardson (Roberts), 77, of Huntington MA, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 18th, 2022 at Baystate Medical Center. Alice was born in Hartford, CT on D-Day, June 6, 1944 to Calvin Roberts and Leone Wood. She married in 1964 and went on to spend the remainder of her career doing in-home elder care for terminally ill patients. In her younger years, Alice drove trucks for Donovan Sand and Gravel. She also worked with the Massachusetts Turnpike crew doing cliff construction. Alice was the grounds keeper for the Norwich Bridge Cemetery in Huntington. She not only mowed and trimmed the grounds, she also cleaned and restored monuments. All of the restoration of this 18th century cemetery was realized through Alice’s hard work and dedicated efforts, included was her donation of the iron fence that surrounds the cemetery.
