SCOTTSDALE, AZ: Angelo Bressani passed away at the age of 96 with family at his side on Monday November 3rd at his home in Scottsdale, AZ. Angelo was a beloved husband, father, grandfather (Buba) and great grandfather. He was best known for his easy disposition and loving nature. His favorite pastimes included gardening, piecing together complex puzzles and spending time with his family in sunny Arizona. Angelo was widowed 6 years ago by his wife Anne (Alonzo) Bressani. He is survived by his daughter Donna Mulligan and her husband Jay Mulligan of Westbrook, CT and Scottsdale, AZ, his granddaughter Ashleigh Ortega and her husband, Gil Ortega of Scottsdale, AZ, his great-grandchildren, Tydan, Skyler and Ryan Ortega of Scottsdale AZ, his brother-in-law, Donald Alonzo of Westfield and his nieces Karen Alonzo of Westfield, MA and Debbie Deluca of Longmeadow, MA. Angelo was born in Westfield and was one of six children. He attended Westfield Vocational high school and received a diploma in electrical wiring and then worked for Westinghouse Electric. During WWII he served as an aviation machinist in the Navy for four years. After the war he was employed by Pratt and Whitney Aircraft and Westfield Gage. He is best known for co-owning local stores Pop the Cork and Cork and Bottle with his brother-in-laws. He lived in Westfield most of his life and then retired to West Palm Beach, FL where he was a long time volunteer at the Kravis Center for Performing Arts. A visitation will be held Saturday, November 8th from 8:30-9am at Messinger Pinnacle Peak Mortuary followed by a 10am funeral service at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Church in Scottsdale.
