WESTFIELD – Ann M. (Kane) Deedy, 93, formerly of Heggie Drive, and a lifelong resident of the city, died Friday, August 3, 2012 at Governor’s Center Nursing Home in Westfield, where she had resided since 2003. Born in Westfield June 25, 1919, she was the third daughter of Bernard Kane and Maria (Clair) Kane.
Predeceased by her husband, Lawrence, in 2002, she was also predeceased by her sisters, Mary E. Kane and Katherine T. Kane. Ann was a communicant for many years at St. Mary’s Church.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday, August 9, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Firtion-Adams Funeral Home, 76 Broad Street, Westfield, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 30 Bartlett Street, Westfield. Rites of Committal will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, 203 Southampton Road, Westfield. Ann was very much loved and cared for by the attentive staff at Governor’s Center, and will be greatly missed.
