WESTFIELD: April 25, 2021 was a sad day for Ernie, Ann’s husband, just two months shy of their 60th wedding anniversary. This is the day when Ann (1942 – 2021) passed away after doing a long battle with a form of Dementia. She had just turned 79 on February 18th. She was born in Pensacola, FL.
During her life she loved being with her children and grandchildren the most. She enjoyed reading, writing and knitting, dabbled a little with painting, and collected sugar bowls and cobalt blue glassware. Her stained-glass creations included several gorgeous large window pieces.
Her dad was a sailor in the Navy, so during her growing years she lived in a lot places. The family settled in Lexington Park, Maryland where she graduated from Great Mills High School. This is where she had a blind date with this new guy (Ernie) and, yes, has been with him ever since. They were married on June 10, 1961, raised four children, retired, and vacationed in Florida every March. Ann retired from Mestek Co. in Westfield, MA where they lived for 30 plus years.
She leaves her husband Ernie Harlow, three wonderful children, daughter Kim Brooks in Charleston SC, her husband Terry Brooks; their two children Corey Brooks, Meghan Duda, her husband Reghan Schwaen; two great-grandchildren Savanah & Luisa Schwaen, daughter Kristy Deedy in Southwick MA, her husband Joe Deedy; their two children Ronald Deedy, his wife Emily, and Elizabeth Deedy, son Ernest L. Harlow in Westfield MA, his wife Suzanne Harlow; their two children Jacob Harlow and Erin Harlow, granddaughter Samatha Harlow, daughter of Joanna Harlow, and Ann’s sister Tony Hart of Ohio. She was preceded in death by her father Everett F. Warehime, her mother Mazie (Lancaster) Warehime and her loving daughter Joanna L. Harlow.
A private memorial service with family is planned for later this summer.
