The Westfield High School boys’ volleyball team improved to 6-2 with a 3-1 victory over host Ludlow last night.
Westfield defeated Ludlow 25-23, 21-25, 25-16, 25-23. The victory did not come easy as the Bombers needed to rally from a 22-14 deficit in the fourth set.
“That was pretty impressive to not give up,” Westfield coach Tyler Wingate said.
Alex Merenkhov (17 kills, 3 digs), Evan Benoit (9 kills, 6 digs), Jason Burnusuz (30 assists), and Ian Wolski (10 kills) proved to be the difference-makers for Westfield, who was coming off a 3-0 loss to Chicopee Comp last Friday.
