Ardra G. Harris

WESTFIELD:  Ardra G. (Gough) Harris 98, formerly of Broad St., in Westfield passed away peacefully at the Genesis Health Care Center of Westfield.  Ardra was born in Weymouth, MA  on Sept. 14, 1916, the daughter of the late John and Hattie (Lincoln) Gough.  She attended Weymouth schools, and moved to West Springfield as a young woman where she lived most of her life.  She was employed 25 years as a lunchroom attendant at the New Tatham School in West Springfield.  Ardra was a lifelong member of the Mittineague Congregational Church in West Springfield, and was a longtime volunteer at the Blandford Town Fair. Ardra was a very proud of her flower gardens, was an avid crochetier, and loved to cook and bake for her family. Her beloved husband of 68 years, Clifford P. Harris, passed away in 2001.  Ardra leaves her loving daughter, Carolyn M. Herrick, of Westfield, her three cherished grandchildren, Robert C. Ripley of Hurricane, WV; Robin J. Fournier of Drummonds, TN, and Roy H. Ripley of Westfield.  Her six adored great grandchildren, ten great, great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.  A calling hour will be held Friday, March 6, 2015 4-5 PM at the Cusack Funeral Home, 94 Main St. Westfield, with a service in the funeral home to follow at 5 PM.  Burial will be in the Paucatuck Cemetery in West Springfield in the Spring.  Memorial gifts may be made to the Noble Visiting Nurse and Hospice, 77 Mill St., Westfield, MA  01085.
