Barbara A. Flynn

Jamaica, VT- Barbara A. (Carman) Flynn, 68, died Monday June 22, 2015 in Noble Hospital. She was born in Ludlow on February 26, 1947 to the late Herbert and Antoinette (Boucher) Carman. She grew up in Springfield and attended local schools and attended Springfield Technical High School. She lived in Westfield for many years before moving to Vermont with her daughter. She worked for Forbes and Wallace, Burt Printing both in Springfield, Betts Plumbing in Westfield, she also worked as a C.N.A. in Greenfield at area nursing homes. Barbara retired from Old Colony Envelope in Westfield where she worked for many years retiring in 2006. After retirement she enjoyed taking care of her family and family gatherings. She enjoyed cross stitching, reading and going to lunch. Barbara leaves her daughter Danielle West and her husband Dana of Jamaica, VT, her grandchildren Meridyth Bills, Jessica Burbank and Danica-Lynne West, her great-granddaughter Myla Maynard, her brother Michael Carman of Indiana, her sisters Susan Patch and her husband Lowell of Bernardston, Claire Pisarcik and her husband Jim of Feeding Hills, her sister-in-law Carol Cote of Wilbraham and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her brothers Bill and Ray Cote. The funeral for Barbara will be held on Saturday June 27th at 10 am in Trinity United Methodist Church, 361 Sumner Avenue, Springfield. Burial will be Private. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4-7 pm from the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield, MA. Donations in memory of Barbara may be made to the Jamaica Volunteer Fire Dept. P.O. Box 285 Jamaica, VT. 05343.
