WESTFIELD – The Polar Plunge is the most fun you’ll have at the beach all year – and it’s in the middle of winter! Every year, Special Olympics Massachusetts’ brrrrravest supporters gather together to plunge into oceans, lakes, and pools to raise money for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Each plunger will commit to raising at least $100 to support the 13,000 Special Olympics athletes throughout the state. Every dollar raised directly supports year-round sports training and competition for athletes with intellectual disabilities in Massachusetts. These funds help provide athletes with the opportunity to participate in sports training and competition programs that help them live longer, happier, healthier lives.
This is your year to be a part of Plunge season and make a lasting difference in the lives of thousands of Special Olympics athletes. The Westfield Polar Plunge is taking place on Sat., March 7 at Hampton Ponds State Park. Register for the Plunge with friends and family, pick out a fun costume and get ready to Be Bold and Get Cold!
Every participant who reaches or exceeds the fundraising goal of $100 will receive a Polar Plunge long-sleeve shirt. Register for the Westfield Polar Plunge now at https://specialolympicsma.donordrive.com/event/westfieldplunge! – Courtesy of Special Olympics
