WESTFIELD – Bernard W. Rosenblum, age 77, of Westfield, Massachusetts, peacefully passed away on March 1st, 2025.
Bernie had many titles in his life including husband, dad, golf buddy, coach, Papa and Paparoni to name a few. He always had words of encouragement for everyone he met and was a friend to all. He enjoyed spending his free time with his wife Jean of 28 years and their dog Reilly. Bernie was a huge sports fan from the days of playing high school basketball and running track, college football at UMass to watching his grandchildren from the sidelines always cheering them on no matter the season, sport or weather. He cherished his days of coaching youth hockey, town and travel. He was a proud member of the class of 1966 at Pittsfield High School and a University of Massachusetts graduate. Bernie had many jobs over the years in accounting but treasured his position at Connecticut River Academy in East Hartford over the past seven years where he made so many connections with students and staff alike.
Bernie is survived by his wife Jean M. Fitzgerald Rosenblum, children Bill Rosenblum (Kristen) of Ludlow, MA, Scott Lalonde (Cindy) of Hebron, CT, and Amy Craven (David) of West Springfield, MA and grandchildren Bridget, Aubrey, Brady, Alia, Emily and Bodie.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at St. Francis Hospital for the excellent care for Bernie in his last weeks.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 7th, 2025, at 10:00 at the Second Congregational Church in Westfield. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Connecticut River Academy. www.firtionadams.com
