PATRICK BERRY
WESTFIELD – This week’s meeting of The Rotary Club of Westfield will feature, as a guest speaker, Patrick Berry, owner of The Westfield News Group, the publisher of The Westfield News, The Pennysaver, the Longmeadow News and the Enfield Press.
Berry was born and raised in Westfield and attended St. Mary’s schools.
He moved to New York City in 1989 where he attended the City University of New York, going to school at nights and on weekends, and got started in the TV business the next year, holding various positions in sales and management before he moved back to Westfield in 2003 and worked as the national sales manager at WGGB, abc40, in Springfield.
Berry purchased Westfield News Publishing in June, 2011, and has since then been working to rejuvenate the group’s newspapers with an accent on local news reporting.
The Rotary Club of Westfield is a service organization which meets weekly at noon on Mondays at the Genesis Spiritual Center at 53 Mill Street.
