WESTFIELD; Bessie Georgantas, 93, passed away at Genesis Center in Westfield. She was born in Springfield, March 17, 1922 the beloved daughter of John and Harriet (Pappas) Nickolaides and was a graduate of the High School of Commerce. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper for Clinton Pharmacy in Westfield. Bess was an avid reader and loved doing crossword puzzles. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Andrew Georgantas and her loving daughter Patricia Georgantas, her sister Dena Nickolaides and brother Nicholas Nickolaides. Bess leaves her loving son Michael Georgantas and her cherished granddaughters, Staci and Sabrina and three great grandchildren, Jayden, Briahna and Aubrielle who she adored and were the love of her life. She also leaves her sisters and best friends, Harriet Del Negro and her husband Ciro of West Springfield, Tula Nickolaides of Agawam, and Jo-Ann Karas and her husband George of Springfield and many nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours and funeral will be private. Donations may be made in her memory to St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral Building Fund, 22 St. George St. Springfield. MA 01104.
