Ralph Ober

WESTFIELD: Ralph “Bob” Ober, 85, of Westfield, Ma passed away on Feb. 21, 2016. Ralph was born on June 1,1930 in Springfield, MA. flagHe was a resident of Westfield for 49 years. Ralph was an Army Air Force Veteran. He worked for 30 years at Moore Drop Forge in Springfield.  He leaves the love of his life, his wife of 49 years, Lucille Y. (Tremblay) Ober. He also leaves his only sibling, his sister Doris Cucchiara of Cape Coral, FL. Ralph also leaves 15 children. He leaves many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and also great great-grandchildren. Ralph was a member of the Elks Lodge #1481 of Westfield for many years. He was also a member of the Westfield Sportsman Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and his daily lunch dates with his wife at their favorite restaurants. Ralph loved animals of all kinds. His cat Sugar and his bird April will miss him.

The funeral for Bob will be held on Friday morning February 26th at 10 a.m. at the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield, MA. Military Honors will follow at 11 A.M. in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution may be made to any animal hospital or animal shelter of your choice.
