AGAWAM – The Westfield High School boys’ lacrosse team delivered an all-around solid effort to defeat host Agawam on Tuesday, 15-6.
Ryan Wilson (4 goals), Matt Lacroix (3 goals, 1 assist), Matt Chlastawa (3 goals), Kevin Papineau (1 goal, 2 assists), Anthony Sullivan (2 goals), Justin Halls (goal), Ruslan Davledzarov (goal), Chris Pray (assist), and Cory Ward (assist) provided the offensive firepower for Westfield.
Bombers’ Lacroix and Craig Ward were instrumental in kick-starting the offense by winning the majority of the faceoffs.
Westfield’s Ethan Nassar, Brian Jensen, and Sam Evans contributed on defense, and goalie Jake Cupak finished with 12 saves.
GIRLS’ LACROSSE
NORTHAMPTON – The St. Mary girls’ lacrosse team fell to the Blue Devils at Northampton High Tuesday, 13-2.
Lauren Chapdelaine and Andrea Watson scored one goal apiece for St. Mary. Saints’ Bella Butler had an assist.
