WESTFIELD: Bruce A. Avery, 67, of Westfield sadly passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021, at Baystate Hospital. Bruce was a man of many talents. Bruce spent many of his years working in the construction industry. He enjoyed tinkering with projects in the garage and truly loved to spend his free time with family and friends. He always had a smile upon his face, a contagious personality and laugh that you couldn’t avoid. It is so hard to capture a person’s life in just a couple of paragraphs.
Bruce is predeceased by his parents, Gwendolyn C. (White) Avery and Ernest A. Avery. His brothers Gerald L. Avery and Louise F. Avery, his sister Charolette E. Avery and lastly, his son Shawn E. Avery.
Bruce is survived by his children Danielle Mineau and Matthew Mineau. His stepchildren, Kelly Mineau, Heather Barton and Scott Barton. His grandchildren Susan Bull, Cody Avery, Emma Cai Giang and Cam Giang; great-grandchildren, Chloe Avery, Kaylee Avery and Kiara Avery. As well as his siblings, Gwendolyn Cornelius, Kenneth Avery and his wife Debby Avery, June Avery, Linda (Avery) Martine and her husband Al Martine. Bruce also left behind so many loved ones, including many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. He will be greatly missed by so many. Bruce will always be a forever cherished memory.
His Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, from 4:00pm-7:00pm, located on 76 Broad Street, Westfield, MA., 01085. A burial service will be arranged in the spring of 2022.
