The break-ins were reported on Maple Street, Meadow Lane, Dairy Lane, and Patriots Way. In those neighborhoods, Southwick Police believe that at least five vehicles had been broken into with the thieves getting away with various Christmas presents and electronics.

The Southwick Police believe those involved wanted to use the holiday season to take advantage of an opportunity.

“I think these (neighborhoods) were particularly targeted as far as this time of year,” said Southwick Police Lt. Robert Landis. “People are going to parties, they’re leaving stuff in their cars, they’re bringing things with them.”

Although Landis added that there are no suspects at this time, if anyone knows anything about the incidents, call Southwick Police Department at 413-569-5348.
