Car hits house, man injured

A 20094 Volvo owned by Kenneth A. Hamilton, of 571 Granville Road is towed from the scene of an accident last night after a pickup truck operated by Ronald K. Grant of 205 Loomis Ridge slammed into the car, which was parked in the driveway. The impact pushed the car into the side of the home causing minimal damage to the structure. WESTFIELD – A city man was injured last night when the Ford F-350 pickup truck he was operating on Granville Road left the roadway and stuck a parked car.
Police report that multiple callers reported the crash at 10:04 p.m. and the responding officer reports that the operator of the truck, Ronald K. Grant, of 205 Loomis Ridge, was operating on Granville Road when he lost control of his vehicle on a curve and left the roadway, striking a 2004 Volvo parked in the driveway at 571 Granville Road.
The impact caused the Volvo to strike the residence resulting in damage to the front end and bumper.
The rear end of the Volvo suffered extensive damage. The house suffered no significant damage.
The pickup came to rest on the yard of 607 Granville Road after damaging several hundred feed of lawn.
Grant was transported to Baystate Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.
The pickup was towed to the police impound yard.
