WESTFIELD – Carol A. (Pitoniak) Laszczyk passed away Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Noble Hospital, Westfield. Carol was a lifelong resident of Westfield and a 1956 graduate of St. Mary’s High School.
She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church and was a longtime member of the senior choir. Carol was a retired 44 year secretary in the Legal Department at the former Stan Home Products in Westfield. Carol was known to “shut off the lights” for the last time.
Carol was predeceased by her husband, Eugene Laszczyk November 11, 2000. She leaves two sisters, Marion Moreau of Middlebury, VT and Susan Yarrows of Feeding Hills; her niece Elzbieta Armstrong and her husband William and their children William, Daniel, and Jessica of Granville, and her nephew-Godson, James R. Moreau of New Mexico, along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Jeanne Thibodeau in 2008.
Her funeral will be Tuesday at 8:15 a.m. at the Robert E Cusack Funeral Home, 94 Main St (Rt 20) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:15 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, all in Westfield. Visiting hours are Monday from 4:00-7:00 p.m.
