BRIMFIELD – Carolyn (Bush) McLean, 83, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on April 10th, 2025, after a long-fought battle with cancer. She was born in Westfield, MA to the late Raymond C. and Bertha G. (Burl) Bush.
Carolyn retired in 2001 after many years as Secretary in the Engineering Department of Noble Hospital. She enjoyed going to bingo and was an avid golfer. Her true passion in life was her ever expanding family.
Prior to moving to Brimfield in 2023 she lived at The Villages, FL, in Westfield, and in Huntington, MA.
Carolyn was the beloved wife for 66 years of Robert J. McLean, mother of Deborah Benoit (Bruce) of Brimfield, Raymond McLean (Linda) of Whidbey Island WA, Lynn Hills (Brian) of Westfield, Susanne Nidy (Eric) of Titusville FL, and Pamela Beers of Corpus Christi TX, cherished grandmother of Dan Bycenski (Maura), Celina Nissam (Josh), Richard McLean, Patrick McLean (Hannah), Kimberly McLean, Brandon Hills (Haley), Cory Hills, Andrew Hills, Nick Cornelius (Nikki), Donnie Cornelius (Pamela), Adam Cornelius, Kassie Vanlandingham (Patrick), Marissa Jungmann, many great-grandchildren and her beloved sister and best friend Judy Lloyd of Springfield.
She was predeceased by her grandson Robert Bycenski, great-grandchildren Audrianna, Dylan and Johnny, her brothers Ronald Bush, Charles Bush (Sandra) and William Bush (Arlene), her sister-in-law Mary Bellefeuille and brother-in-law Richard McLean. Carolyn is survived by many nieces, nephews, brother-in-law Al Bellefeuille and sister-in-law Nancy Bush.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to Dr. Collier and Dr. Colasanto and the staff at Trinity Health of New England and to Overlook Hospice Service of Charlton for their gentle care.
Visiting hours for Carolyn will be held on Wednesday, April 16th, 2025, from 8:45-9:45 a.m. with a Funeral Home Service at 9:45 a.m. at the Firtion Adams Funeral Home, 76 Broad Street, Westfield followed by burial in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Main Street, Agawam. In lieu of flowers, donations in Carolyn’s name may be directed to the Cancer House of Hope, 1999 Westfield Street, West Springfield, MA 01089.
