Catherine Hadwin

WESTFIELD – Catherine (Hughes) Hadwin, 77, died Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at home. She was born on June 15, 1935 in Liverpool, England to the late Thomas and Eileen Hughes.

She attended St. Mary’s School in Liverpool and played tennis, she also attended nursing school and worked for a local hospital. She has been a resident of Westfield for the past 45 years. She was a teller at the former Third National Bank in Westfield. She was a parishioner of The Episcopal Church of the Atonement. She was a volunteer for the local chapter of the National Head Injury Foundation and also for M.A.D.D.

Catherine leaves her husband of almost 50 years Frederick Hadwin; her son, Michael Hadwin and his wife Lindsey of Holyoke, her granddaughter Madeline and her brother, Edward Hughes of France. She was predeceased by a son, Christopher in 1967.

A memorial service for Catherine will be held on Monday July 23rd at 3:00 p.m. in the Church of the Atonement, 36 Court Street, Westfield, MA. Donations may be made to M.A.D.D.
