WESTFIELD – Charles Franklin Whitten, 82, (1941 – 2023) died at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield on April 30, 2023. He was born in Chester, VT on March 7, 1941. Charles graduated from Chester High School, a star basketball player and then from the University of Vermont. He was employed by Aetna Insurance and Carnation Co. He then became a real estate investor owning multiple apartments in Western Massachusetts and Vermont. His last adventure was operating Charlie’s Treasure’s on Elm St., Westfield.
He is survived by his ex-wife Susan Whitten of Westfield and special friends, Dick Piper and Tom Denardo.
