Charles J. Laudato

He attended Westfield Vocational High School and graduated in 1962. While in high school he furthered the talents that his uncles had already begun to teach him about woodworking. He also served in the Air National Guard at Barnes Airport for 25 years retiring in 2003.

Chuck was a member of our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church in Westfield for all of his life. He often volunteered there cooking for church suppers, making pizza for the kids in the youth group and most recently cooking and delivering meals for the Take and Eat Program. Chuck loved spending time with his family. He prepared a beautiful dinner every Tuesday night at his house for his entire family. He also had a love for antique cars. He enjoyed collecting cars and going to car shows.

Chuck leaves behind his loving partner of 36 years Bette Jo of Westfield and his cherished daughters Christine Ouimette (David) of Easthampton, Karen Whalen of Westfield and Cheryl Laudato (Christopher) of West Springfield. Chuck leaves his grandchildren who were the light of his life, Devan, Domonic (Ashley),  Andrew, Jonathon (Serena), Sara and Nathan as well as his great-granddaughters Elowyn and Caroline. He also leaves his caring sister, Nancy and her husband, David Trotman of Westfield as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins who he always enjoyed spending time with. Chuck also leaves his former wife and friend Eileen Laudato of Westfield and his step granddaughters Lauren and Kara Ouimette. Chuck was blessed to have a second family which included Bette Jo’s daughters, Kim (Jeff) Counter and Nicole Clark (Albert) and two more grandchildren Emma and Kaitlin Counter who he loved like his own. Bette Jo’s sister, Pam and her husband Robert Stanton were also very close to Chuck.
