CHD announces new Medical Director

SPRINGFIELD – Emad Helmy Eskander, M.D., of East Longmeadow has been appointed Medical Director for CHD, with responsibility for overseeing the organization’s psychiatric/prescribing team.

Dr. Eskander is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University in Egypt and Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He completed his psychiatric residency training at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA, including rotations in neurology, substance abuse, electro-convulsive therapy, and psychiatric emergency services.

Dr. Eskander is licensed to practice medicine by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and State of Connecticut. Prior to joining CHD, he was a full-time staff psychiatrist at West Central Family Counseling in West Springfield.  A fluent speaker of English and Arabic, he enjoys family activities, soccer and travel.
