RUSSELL – Cheryl Ann (Hawk) Meskevich, 63, (1956-2020) of Russell passed away on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020. Born on September 15, 1956 to Harold G. and Mary Bernadette (Beno) Hawk in Kittanning, PA. Cheryl graduated from Gateway Regional High School in 1974. She was employed as a Paraprofessional with the Gateway Regional School District for 20 years, retiring in 2017 to be a daycare provider for her grandchildren. She took immense pride in her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. She was especially proud to be “Grammy.” She enjoyed vacationing in Maine and spending time with her husband and friends. Cheryl loved cheering on her favorite team, the Boston Bruins. Her legacy will live long beyond her passing.
Cheryl leaves behind her beloved husband of 42 years Michael and their two loving children, Ryan of Russell and Lane Rea (husband Ryan) of East Granby, CT, her twin brother Kenneth of Russell, sister Lori Wingate of Westfield and brother-in-law Dennis Meskevich of Becket, and her adored grandchildren, Connor and Tenley Rea. “Auntie” also leaves behind her nephews and nieces, Tyler (wife Stephanie), Kyle and Jake Wingate, Daniel and Lee Meskevich and Courtney St. Peter and her daughter Madison. Cheryl was predeceased by her infant sons, Jordan Matthew in 1982 and Kevin Andrew in 1993, her parents Harold (Hal) Hawk in 2007 and Mary B. (Bernie) Hawk in 2013, her mother-in-law Frances (Bevilaqua) Meskevich in 1980 and father-in-law George Meskevich in 2017, along with her beloved dogs Molly and Halle. All services will be private.
