WESTFIELD – Constance (Hungerford) Hanson, 69, of Westfield died peacefully Sunday, October 27, 2013 with her family by her side. She was born in Oneonta, NY to the late Elmer and Vera (Collier) Hungerford.
She lived in Westfield for many years and lived most recently in Old Towne, Maine. She was a graduate and member of the Honor Society of the Husson College School of Nursing. Connie was employed as a registered nurse at Acadia Hospital in Bangor, Maine for the last fifteen years and previously had worked at the Monson Developmental Center for twenty years. She was a member of the American Psychiatric Nursing Society and the American Nurses Association. Connie loved working and spending time with the kids at Acadia. She was well respected and loved by all of her coworkers. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and making goodies for everyone.
She is survived by her daughter, Alissa Heath and her husband Randy and a grandson, Joseph; her husband Paul of Old Towne, Maine and his children and their families; a brother, Norman Hungerford of New Jersey; 5 nieces and a nephew. She was predeceased by an infant son and her sister, Shirley Vargason.
A graveside service will be held for Connie in Oneonta, NY in the spring. There are no calling hours. Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield is in charge of arrangements.
