Christopher C. Daigneault, 41, of 11 King Ave., pleaded guilty to a charge of assault and battery brought by Westfield police and was sentenced to a five month term in the house of correction with credit for time served awaiting trial and the balance suspended with probation for six months. He was assessed $50.
Andrew J. Bishop, 23, of 9 Feeding Hills Road, Southwick, was held in lieu of $100 cash bail without prejudice pending a May 23 hearing after he was arraigned on a charge of leaving the scene of a property damage accident and a marked lanes violation brought by Southwick police.
Mark A. Nikiel, 39, of 8 Conner Ave., saw a charge of assault and battery brought by Westfield police not prosecuted.
William Walczak, 20, of 2 Crestwood St., Holyoke, saw a charge of larceny of property valued more than $250 not prosecuted due to insufficient evidence.
Avery Girard, 18, of 37 Mechanic St., submitted to facts sufficient to warrant a guilty finding for a charge of assault and battery brought by Westfield police and the charge was continued without a finding with probation for six months. He was assessed $50.
Patrick William, 38, of 16 Acushnet Ave., Springfield, saw charges of assault and battery, intimidating a witness and vandalizing property brought by Southwick police dismissed without prejudice at the request of the defense when the victim did not appear in court and the Commonwealth failed to prosecute.
