Thomas D. Cook, 35, of 10 Stafford Hill Road, Cheshire, submitted to facts sufficient to warrant guilty findings for charges of uttering a false prescription, identity fraud, receiving stolen property valued less than $250 and attempting to commit a crime and was placed on probation for one year. He was assessed $90 and a charge of intimidating a witness was not prosecuted.
Joshua C. Ellsworth, 19, of 47 Kendell Hill Road, Sterling, was released on his personal recognizance pending a March 30 hearing after he was arraigned on charges of being a person younger than the legal drinking age in possession of liquor, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, speeding and a state highway sign violation brought by Westfield State University police.
Louis F. Casale, 54, of 14 Granville Road, Southwick, was found to be responsible for a charge of shoplifting by asportation brought by Southwick police and assessed $100. A charge of larceny of property valued more than $250 was not prosecuted.
Patrick R. O’Brien, 45, of 5 Greenwood St., pleaded guilty to a charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor brought by Westfield police and was placed on probation for one year. He was assessed $350, ordered to complete a Driver Alcohol Education Program at a cost of $957.76 and his license was suspended for 45 days. He submitted to facts sufficient to warrant a guilty finding for a charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle and the charge was continued without a finding with probation for one year. He was assessed $250 and found to be not responsible for a marked lanes violation.
Benjamin L. Kuta, 25, of 8 Ethan Ave., was released on his personal recognizance pending an April 1 hearing after he was arraigned on charges of assault and battery on a police officer and resisting arrest brought by Westfield police.
Bernardo E. Garcia, 62, of 140 Prospect Street Extension, submitted to facts sufficient to warrant a guilty finding for a charge of forgery of a Registry of Motor Vehicles document brought by Westfield police and the charge was continued without a finding and dismissed upon payment of fees and assessments totaling $300. Charges of operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle were not prosecuted.
Ashley A. Smith, 27, of 77 East St., North Granby, Connecticut, was held in lieu of $500 cash bail pending a March 10 hearing after she was arraigned on a charge of breaking and entering with intent to commit a misdemeanor brought by Southwick police. In a second case also brought by Southwick police, Smith was again held in lieu of $500 cash bail pending a March 10 hearing after she was arraigned on a charge of larceny of property valued more than $250.
Ashley A. Fortin, 29, of 33 Norman Terrace, Feeding Hills, was held in lieu of $500 cash bail pending a March 10 hearing after she was arraigned on a charge of breaking and entering with intent to commit a misdemeanor brought by Southwick police. In a second case also brought by Southwick police, Fortin was again held in lieu of $500 cash bail pending a March 10 hearing after she was arraigned on charges of larceny of property valued more than $250 and trespass with a motor vehicle.
Leslie Hernandez, 34, of 126 Union St., was released on her personal recognizance pending an April 1 hearing after she was arraigned on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license brought by Westfield police.
John H. Tersavich, 26, of 33 Norman Terrace, Feeding Hills, was held in lieu of $1,500 cash bail pending a March 10 hearing after he was arraigned on a charge of breaking and entering with intent to commit a misdemeanor brought by Southwick police. In a second case also brought by Southwick police, Tersavich was again held in lieu of $1,500 cash bail pending a March 10 hearing after he was arraigned on a charge of larceny of property valued more than $250. In addition, bail was revoked on three outstanding cases in Westfield District Court.
Andre Yarns, 24, of 30 Nassau St., Chicopee, submitted to facts sufficient to warrant a guilty finding for a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle brought by Westfield police and the charge was continued without a finding and dismissed upon payment of fees and assessments totaling $250. He was found to be not responsible for a marked lanes violation.
Sean A. Carter, 31, of no fixed address in Montgomery, was released on $1,000 personal surety pending an April 2 hearing after he was arraigned on a charge of assault and battery on a family or household member brought by Westfield police.
Andrew B. Coach, 26, of 23 Tannery Road, pleaded guilty to a charge of shoplifting by asportation brought by Westfield police.
