Omar Ocasio, 43, of 296 Oak St., Holyoke, was held in lieu of $5,000 cash bail pending a June 29 hearing after he was arraigned on a charge of breaking and entering a vehicle in the daytime with intent to commit a felony, three charges of larceny of property valued less than $1,200 and two charges of improper use of a credit card valued less than $1,200 brought by Westfield police.
Jonathan Melendez, 26, of 661 Union St., Springfield, saw a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license dismissed upon payment of $100 in court costs. He was found to be responsible for a charge of speeding at a rate exceeding the posted limit and was assessed $105.
Dale W. Unsderfer, 34, of 44 Sunset Drive, Westfield, submitted to facts sufficient to warrant a guilty finding for a charge of assault and battery on a family or household member brought by Westfield police and the charge was continued without a finding with probation for six months. He was assessed $50 and ordered to cooperate with an anger management evaluation, Charges of vandalizing property and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon were not prosecuted.
Alexander M. Smith, 18, of 182 Bates Road, Westfield, saw a charge of assault and battery brought by Westfield police dismissed when the alleged victim asserted his Fifth Amendment rights and refused to testify.
