John A. Serra, 43, of 13 Wood St., Southwick, was released on $100 cash bail pending a March 30 hearing after he was arraigned on a charge of assault and battery on a family or household member brought by Southwick police.
Rachel L. Sanchez, 32, of 50 Southampton Road, was released on her personal recognizance pending a March 2 hearing after she was arraigned on a number plate violation to conceal identification brought by State Police.
Edward M. Daley, 49, of 21 Hancock Street, saw two charges of assault and battery brought by Westfield police dismissed at the request of the victim when she asserted her marital privilege and refused to testify.
Herman Blier, 75, of 191 Main St., Chester, pleaded guilty to a violation of a firearms license restriction brought by State Police and was fined $1,250. He was assessed $50.
Jose D. Rivera, 22, of 15 Girard Ave., Springfield, was released on his personal recognizance pending a March 31 hearing after he was arraigned on a charge of shoplifting merchandise valued more than $100 by concealing merchandise brought by Westfield police.
Christina C. Rosario, 36, of 20 Jeager Drive, pleaded guilty to a charge of larceny of property valued more than $250 from a person older than 60 years of age or disabled and was sentenced to an eighteen month term in the house of correction with six months to be served direct and the balance suspended with probation until Jan. 30, 2017. Rosario also pleaded guilty to two charges of possession of a Class B drug, two charges of possession of a Class E drug and single charges of possession of a class C drug and larceny of a credit card brought by Westfield police and was sentenced to six additional six month terms to be served concurrently with the first sentence.
Anthony T. Scarfo, 44, of 57 Clifton St., Springfield, pleaded guilty to a charge of assault and battery on a family or household member brought by Westfield police and was sentenced to a one year term in the house of correction with credit for time served.
