Melissa M. Costigan, 35, of 15 Madison St., was released on her personal recognizance pending a March 25 hearing after she was arraigned on charges of failure to wear a seatbelt, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle without a valid inspection sticker brought by Westfield police.
Andrew M. Budreau, 22, of 197 Stafford Road, Monson, pleaded guilty to a charge of larceny of property valued more than $250 brought by Westfield police and was placed on probation for one year. He was assessed $90 and ordered to stay away from Walmart.
Daniel C. Rinaldi, 42, of 24.5 Bartlett St., pleaded guilty to a charge of assault and battery brought by Westfield police and was placed on probation for one year. He was assessed $50 and enjoined from making abuse, violence or threats toward the victim.
Ion Mocanu, 43, of 4 Woodland Ave., saw charges of operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle brought by State Police not prosecuted.
Edgard A.Hernandez, 40, of 1055 Liberty St., Springfield, saw a charge of receiving stolen property valued more than $250 brought by Westfield police not prosecuted due to insufficient evidence.
Beverly A. Poynter, 21, of 469 Westfield St., West Springfield, submitted to facts sufficient to warrant guilty findings for charges of exhibiting another’s driver’s license, being a motor vehicle operator who refuses to identify herself, possession of a false or stolen Registry of Motor Vehicles document and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license brought by State Police and the charges were continued without a finding with probation for six months. She was assessed $90 and found to be responsible for a charge of speeding for which she was assessed an additional $100.
Shannon M. Leyden, 37, of 5 Lozier Ave., saw a charge of malicious damage to a motor vehicle brought by Westfield police not prosecuted due to insufficient evidence.
Katherine Gutierrez-Rios, 30, of 41 Sycamore St., Springfield, submitted to facts sufficient to warrant guilty findings for charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a number plate violation to conceal identification and operating an uninsured motor vehicle brought by Westfield police and the charges were continued without a finding with probation for three months. She was assessed $50.
October L. Goguen, 42, of 421 Main Road, Granville, pleaded guilty to charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor, operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle brought by Southwick police and was sentenced to a six month term in the house of correction, suspended, with probation for two years. She was ordered to complete a 14 day in-patient Family Recovery Program, fined $750 and assessed $600. She was found to be responsible for a charge of possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
