April-Rose Clark, 21, of 19 Salem St., Springfield, was ordered to remain drug and alcohol free and be subject to random testing when she admitted to facts sufficient to warrant a guilty finding for a charge possession of a Class E drug brought by Westfield police and the charge was continued without a finding with probation for three months. She was assessed $50.
John M. Phelps, 24, of 350 Elm St., admitted to facts sufficient to warrant guilty findings for charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and carrying a dangerous weapon brought by State Police and the charges were continued without a finding with probation three months. He was assessed $50. He was found responsible for a charge of failure to wear a seat belt and not responsible for a marked lanes violation.
Nicholas Foley, 22, of 263 Central St., Springfield, was released on his personal recognizance pending a Jan. 10, 2013, hearing after he was arraigned on charges of shoplifting by asportation and larceny of property valued more than $250 brought by Westfield police.
Nicholas A. Thurman, 28, of 16 Dudley Ave., was held in lieu of $2,000 cash bail after he was arraigned on a charge of distribution of a Class B drug and a drug violation near a school or park brought by Westfield police.
Travis K. Britt, 49, of 50 McCarthy Road, Granville, admitted to facts sufficient to warrant guilty findings for charges of threatening to commit a crime and reckless operation of a motor vehicle brought by Southwick police and the charges were continued without a finding with probation three months. He was assessed $50, was enjoined from making any threats or violence and was ordered to submit to a substance abuse evaluation and any subsequent treatment. A guilty plea for a second charge of threatening to commit a crime resulted in a six-month term, suspended, in the house of correction and a guilty plea for a charge of assault and battery saw him placed on probation for one year. Charges of kidnapping and assault with a dangerous weapon were not prosecuted
In a separate case brought by Granville police, Britt admitted to facts sufficient to warrant guilty findings for two charges of possession of firearms without a firearms identification card and a charge of assault and those charges were also continued without a finding with probation one year. He was assessed $100. A charge of kidnapping was not prosecuted.
In a second case brought by Granville police, Britt admitted to facts sufficient to warrant a guilty finding for a charge of defacing the serial number on a firearm and the charge was continued without a finding with probation one year. He was assessed $50.
Jeffrey C. Audette, 25, of 126 Union St., was released on his personal recognizance pending a Jan. 11, 2013, hearing after he was arraigned on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and failure to yield brought by Westfield police.
