Sheila Maldonado, 43, of 23 Monroe St., Apt. 1, Westfield, was released on her personal recognizance pending a March 1 hearing after she was arraigned on a cross walk violation and a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle brought by Westfield police.
Donald K. MacLeod, 28, of 5 King Ave., Westfield, was held, after a dangerousness hearing was continued pending an examination to determine his criminal responsibility and competence to stand trial on two charges of assault and battery on a person 60 years-of-age or older, assault and battery on a family or household member and attempted murder brought by Westfield police. Moises Santiago-Marrero, 32, of 973 Sumner Ave., Apt. 2, Springfield, pleaded guilty to four charges of improper use of a credit cared valued less than $250 and he was sentenced to a six month term in the house of correction with credit for time served. He was placed on probation until Dec. 31, 2019. He also pleaded guilty to a charge of improper use of a credit cared valued more $250 and he was sentenced to a two year term in the house of correction, suspended, with probation until Dec. 31, 2019. He pleaded guilty to three charges of receiving a stolen credit card and was placed on probation until Dec. 31, 2019. A charge of larceny from a person 60 year-of-age or older was not prosecuted.
