Alexander Maceira, 19, of 126 Union St., Westfield, saw a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license brought by Westfield police not prosecuted. In a second case also brought by Westfield police, Maceira saw charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and using a vehicle without authority also not prosecuted.

Craig E. Smith, 57, of 700 Russell Road, Apt. 25, Westfield, was released on his personal recognizance pending an Aug. 24 hearing after he was arraigned on charges of breaking and entering with intent to commit a misdemeanor and trespass brought by Westfield police.

Eugene R. Ullstrom, 55, of 1 Pomeroy Road, Montgomery, pleaded guilty to charges of operating under the influence of liquor (a second offense) and negligent operation of a motor vehicle brought by State Police and was fined $750, assessed $600 and sentenced to a two and a half year term in the house of correction, suspended, with probation for one year. He was found to be not responsible for a charge of operation a motor vehicle without an operator’s license in his possession.

Robert D. Taylor, 55, of 29 Linden Ave., Westfield, was released on his personal recognizance pending an Aug. 24 hearing after he was arraigned on charges of assault and battery on a family or household member and strangulation or suffocation brought by Westfield police.

Kyle D. Bishop, 33, of 10 Cedar St., Southwick, was released on his personal recognizance pending an Aug. 23 hearing after he was arraigned on charges of assault and battery on a family or household member, intimidating a witness and larceny of property valued more than $250 brought by Southwick police.

Dakota Calvanese, 22, of 9 Pearl St., Westfield, submitted to facts sufficient to warrant guilty findings for charges of operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended license and reckless operation of a motor vehicle brought by State Police and the charges were continued without a finding with probation for nine months. She was assessed $300 and found to be not responsible for charges of improper use of a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle not meeting RMV safety standards and speeding at a rate exceeding the posted limit.
