Kayla A. Ward, 31, of an address restricted by the court, pleaded guilty to a charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor brought by Southwick police and was sentenced to a 12 month term in the house of correction, suspended, with probation for two years. She was ordered to complete a 14-day in-patient program and her license was suspended for two years. A charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle was not prosecuted nor was one of three charges of child endangerment while operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor. Ward pleaded guilty to two other child endangerment charges and was sentenced to a 90-day term in the house of correction, suspended, with probation for two years. She was found to be not responsible for two charges of transporting a child younger than eight years and shorter than 58 inches without a car seat.
Francisco Cintron, 33, of 12 Pasadena St., Indian Orchard, was held without right to bail after he was arraigned as a fugitive from justice without a warrant.
James P. Nicholson, 32, of 49 Poinsettia St., Agawam, was released on his personal recognizance pending an Oct 31 hearing after he was arraigned on a charge of larceny of property valued more than $250 by a single scheme brought by Westfield police.
