6:02 a.m.: larceny of a motor vehicle, Parker Avenue, a caller reports his vehicle was stolen overnight, the responding officer reports the keys had been left in the ignition;
1:13 p.m.: larceny, Springfield Road, a patrol officer reports he was flagged down by an employee of a Springfield Road department store who reported that a shoplifter had fled easterly, West Springfield police were advised;
4:37 p.m.: fire, a caller reports a pile of logs is on fire, the responding firefighters report a pile of burning logs which a resident said he was intentionally burning was extinguished, a citation was issued;
8:15 p.m.: breaking and entering, Elm Street, a caller reports neighbors are fighting, the responding officer reports they were told a man with a history of disagreements with a neighbor went to the other resident’s door but that man slammed the door, the first man then used a fork to cut open the screen on one of the other man’s windows and gain access to the apartment whereupon he attacked him with the fork, Tairell Marquise Jackson, 23, of 306 Elm St., Apt. 5, Westfield was arrested for home invasion;
11:03 p.m.: breaking and entering, Prospect Street, a resident came to the station to complain that her vehicle was entered and her wallet and phone were stolen, the responding officer reports the vehicle had been unlocked;
11:10 p.m.: larceny of a motor vehicle, Franklin Street, a caller reports his vehicle was stolen in the last 45 minutes, the responding officer reports the car had been unlocked and the keys had been left in the vehicle.
