Daniel Joseph Lynch

MURFREESBORO, TN – Daniel Joseph Lynch, 60, (1963-2024) passed away at his home Saturday, March 30th 2024.

He was born in Warwick Rhode Island, October 31st, 1963 to the late Gloria (Slade) Lynch.

Danny grew up in Westfield MA, and graduated from Vocational Tech in 1983.

Upon graduating he enlisted in US Army, 1st Infantry. He was stationed in Germany, where he guarded the wall, before it came down.

From there, he was stationed in Maryland at the Aberdeen, Proving Grounds. As a leader to so many, he served in the Gulf War for Desert Storm/Desert Shield in the ground crew. Danny served his country for 10 years. He was honorably discharged as a Sergeant, from Fort Riley Kansas, making his home in Murfreesboro TN. Danny helped build houses for habitat for humanity. He also loved sports. Baseball, basketball, football, and golf. Golfing was his favorite pastime with his many friends. He will be sadly missed by so many that knew and loved him. Danny had a “heart like hotel, room for everyone.”

Danny is survived by his six siblings, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Frances J. Smith and her husband James of Richmond, RI, Richard E. Lynch of Murfreesboro, TN, Patrick J. Lynch and his wife Cheryl of Huntington, MA, Cheryl Davio and her husband Mike of Mount Juliet, TN, Kelly A. Lynch of Granville, MA and Gina Rabtor of Huntington, MA.

There will be a service of Military Honors for Danny on Monday, June 24th, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam. There will be no visiting hours.
