WESTFIELD – Daniele Lynn Buscemi, age 56, passed away peacefully on July 26th, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving mother Andree, brother John and devoted friend, Donna.
She was born in Holyoke, Massachusetts on August 15th, 1969. She graduated from Southwick High School in 1988. Daniele worked for many years caring for the elderly at different facilities in the area. Her hobbies included traveling, shopping, going to the beach, hanging out with her many friends and patronizing different eateries wherever she went. All who knew Daniele can attest that she really knew how to have a good time! Her care and love for cats were enormous throughout her life; she always had fur babies. She leaves behind Smokey and Oliver who will indeed miss her tender love and treats dearly.
Most importantly, Daniele brought happiness and joy to all the people she worked with and met. She always put others first and her huge, compassionate heart made the world a much better place. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Daniele is survived by her mother Andree Buscemi, brother John Buscemi and many relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Legion Post 124, Westfield, Massachusetts and the Westfield Homeless Cat Project-both of which were near and dear to her heart. All are welcome to attend the funeral mass to be held at St. Rose de Lima Catholic Church in Chicopee, MA on August 7th, 2026, at 10 a.m. followed by the burial at St. Rose Cemetery on Olsen Street, Chicopee, MA.
A Celebration of Life is planned for August 23rd, 2026, from 2 p.m.-6 p.m. at the American Legion in Westfield, MA. The Buscemi family cordially invites all of Daniele’s friends to join them at this event to have one last hooray to honor her vivacious personality. www.firtionadams.com
