Westfield – 
Darlene Rose (Heiden) Meunier, 55, passed away unexpectedly at home on June 4th, 2018 in Westfield, MA. She was born in Springfield on March 4th, 1963 to the late Frederick and Shirley (Mayer) Heiden and was the youngest of three siblings.
Darlene (Dee) worked for the US Postal Services for many years, though her true passion was food. She had studied culinary arts at Dean Vocational in Holyoke, MA.
One of the joys of her life was spending time with her son Ken. She loved to play cards and enjoyed the challenge of solving puzzles. Spending time at the ocean was always a special treat for her and she delighted in a great meal.
Dee had a quick wit and a dry sense of humor that kept everyone on their toes!
She is survived by her son Kenneth Meunier Jr. of Northampton, MA, her sisters Linda Bennett of Westfield, MA and Lori Engle of Hubbardston, MA, brother-in-law Paul Engle, nephew Tim Bennett, ex-husband Kenneth Meunier Sr., and her kitty Skittles.
Darlene will be dearly missed!
A “Celebration of Life” will be held for Darlene on July 8th at the Meeting House in Stanley Park, Westfield, MA, at 1:00pm.
Donations in Darlene’s name may be directed in lieu of flowers to the Westfield Homeless Cat Project, 1124 East Mountain Rd. Westfield, MA 01085.
