Dave E. Osowski

Westfield-David E. “Oscar” Osowski, 69, died Saturday, December 15, 2018 at home. He was born in Holyoke, MA on September 17, 1949 to the late Edward Osowski and Cecile (Gladu)Tinneyi. He was a U.S Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He did two tours in Vietnam as a combat Demolition Specialist receiving the Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm and the Vietnam Campaign Medal with four bronze stars. He worked as a driver for the city of Westfield for 24 years and retired in 2009. David was an avid bass fisherman, loved playing golf, gardening, guitar’s and dabbed in painting.

He leaves his wife and Soulmate Margaret “Peggy” (Sullivan) Osowski, his adoring children, son Nathan E. Osowski and daughter Heather A. Keier and her companion Jim Leary, his grandchildren Michael and Makayla Keier all of Westfield and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves his Loving sister Elaine Goodwin, 2 sister in laws and 2 brother in laws and his faithful companion Oscar. He was pre-deceased by his Parents Cecile Tinney, Edward Osowski and his two siblings Carol Dirats and Janet Taudal. The funeral for David will be held in the Chapel at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street in Agawam on Friday December 21st at 3 pm. Calling Hours will be held on Thursday evening at the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield from 4-7 pm.
