Where were you in 2015-16 when Republican field diminished from 17 to 1? Didn’t the RNC look into Trump’s compatibility and due diligence on their potential President? What skills and perspectives might a businessman draw on as he transitions from CEO to commander in chief? Trump has had four of his businesses that have had filed for bankruptcy. Command of the language – the fact that Trump is barely literate in English, as attested by his inability to vary his adjectives and his inclination to use nonexistent ones (e.g. “bigly”). A President must be able to understand, what is important and to understand puzzling statements before he stops and figures out the next step. The President needs to read– and fully understands what he has read
2016 was such a disillusioning experience, when I vote for a president, I don’t look at the party – I look more at the person. There were some 6 very good candidates besidesTrump. Why did you pick Trump? “Trump is in fact a master of ‘bullshit,’ which is distinct from lying in that the speaker is not just communicating information he knows to be false (as of 4-30-19 Trump 10,000 false/lies that weremade), but is unconstrained by any consideration of what may or may not be true.” Wrote Steve Denning “Reading the controversial comments from the GOP’s 2016 nominee, Donald Trump, about women, Muslims, Hispanics, and veterans who were prisoners of warcaused some Republican lawmakers to distance themselves from the businessman, while others outright denounced him.” “Ballotpdia” Republicans supporting Trump. Couldn’t you have picked another GOP candidate?
The economy, it usually takes time and effort for presidential policies to work their way through the country. Two to three years into the presidency, we are probably still feeling the effects of policies laid out by the previous administration. The problem is, Trump’s economy owes largely to trends started in the Obama era. By almost every economic measure, the upward trends Trump citesbegan while Obama was still in office. Most credit goes to Americans, the economy, or businesses. But Trump takes the credit for himself.
You know that the Mueller Report and the Steele Dossierare accurate. Why are some of the Senate Committees investigating the unknown truths that are false. Is this another distraction? They maybe fooling some, but a number of citizens know different. But can a president be so powerful that he or she threatens the nation’s freedom? Should a president be allowed to violate the rights of the American people? Or to ignore the rights of other nations?Russia has engaged in a broad, sophisticated, well-resourced, and—to many observers—surprisingly effective campaign to expand its global reach, objectives include, first and foremost, undermining the liberal international order and the cohesion of the West.
As Senators you were sworn to defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. One of the major roles of a legislature is representation-representing various constituencies. Act with honesty and adhere to the highest standards of moral and ethical values and principles through your personal and professional behavior. Demonstrate your understanding of these values and principles and uphold them in every action and decision and support a culture that is based upon ethical conduct.
Stop with the distractions, and start representing your constituencies with the promises you told them to get elected as a Senator.
