WESTFIELD: Denis J. Gaido, 76, (1944-2021) passed away September 23, 2021 surrounded by his loved ones. Denis was born in Westfield to the late Walter and Nellie (Wallinovich) Gaido and lived in Westfield the majority of his life with his loving wife of 44 years, Laurie (Wilson) Gaido. He served in the United States Army from 1962-1965 and was stationed in Korea. Denis spent his life working as a contractor then the Building Inspector of Westfield and Southwick. Denis enjoyed fishing and golfing during his down time, along with sitting on his front porch with his wife, daughter and granddaughter. Denis lived a full life and will be missed by all that knew him.
Denis is survived by his beloved wife Laurie Gaido, his daughter Christine (Gaido) Lenza, his cherished granddaughter, Emma Gillis and son-in-law Edward Lenza, his brother Walter Gaido and a nephew Nathan Gaido, all of Westfield.
